Held in the impressive setting of Somerley Park near Ringwood, the show, a smaller version of the New Forest Show, is hoping to attract
thousands of visitors through the gates.
Hosted by The Earl of Normanton and organised by the Ellingham and Ringwood Agricultural Society, the show will include a wide variety of
Light Horse Classes from Hunters to Arabs and New Forest Ponies as well as show jumping classes and Heavy Horse displays.
A Shetland Pony Grand National will also take place during the day with the Wilton Hounds consisting of 40 hounds and their horse back
masters in full hunt regalia taking to the main ring as well.
Dairy and beef cattle are also shown to perfection and the donkey show, which features foals and older animals, is also a popular draw for
Dogs are not forgotten either with classes including Most Handsome Pedigree and Waggiest Tail.
Homemade produce including an array of fruit and vegetables and pot plants and flowers will be on display with competitions for children
Cakes, breads and scones as well as jams and chutneys and wines will be on offer to tempt visitors with handicrafts also on show in the craft
Refreshments are provided in the Ellingham Church Tea Tent or the popular Beer Tent.
And to complete the country show extravaganza, a scarecrow competition will also take place.
Visitors with four-legged friends are also encouraged to take part in a fancy dress competition in the main ring.
Ringwood and Burley Band will be providing musical entertainment and there will be more than 100 trade stands for visitors to splash their
